Glenn Paul’s Spoken English Club uses methods that work!

Glenn Paul’s Spoken English Club

uses methods that work!

The system is totally new and different.
The old study methods you used in the past are useless compared to this system.
The incredible way you learn Grammar Without “Rules”:
Use English grammar correctly with absolutely no studying of grammar rules.

The Deep Learning method that helps you use English faster. Remember English words and grammar– and use them in real conversations.
Feel strong about your speaking ability.
Imagine thinking, smiling, and laughing while learning.

The fun and crazy mini-stories train you to speak and respond faster.
Lessons that help you learn English without boredom- no more textbooks, no more tests.
Meet other friendly Glenn Paul’s English club members just like you.
Learn English grammar without studying any grammar rules. How?
Glenn Paul’s
Listen & Answer stories are designed to teach you grammar in an intuitive, natural way.
Ask an American, “what is the past perfect tense” and most will not know.
But, of course, they use the past perfect tense correctly every day.
In fact, they use English grammar effortlessly. They don’t think about it.
Rather, native speakers have a “feeling for correctness”.
They know what “sounds right” and they know what “sounds wrong”.
Can a non-native English learner develop these same skills? Yes. Definitely.
But you’ll never develop the natural ability to use grammar effortlessly if you try to learn by thinking.

Learn English Effortlessly

Simply listen to a story and answer the super-easy questions.
The more you listen to the Listen & Answer Stories, the more deeply you learn the grammar, and the more automatically you will use it.
You’ll actually smile and laugh while you learn English grammar.
Does that happen when you study textbooks?
Close your eyes. Now see yourself speaking excellent REAL English.
Imagine yourself talking to real speakers.
Imagine understanding English slang, idioms, and fast speech. Imagine speaking fast.
Yes! It is possible! And you can do it in one month.

You now know the 4 Rules of Glenn Paul’s Spoken English, but there is, in fact, 1 more secret that is more important than all others. This secret is the key to success.
The biggest secret of all is-- emotion.

In fact, if there is one "secret" to success in anything, including learning English, it is emotion!
Not methods.
Not teachers.
Not books.
Emotion.

With powerful positive emotion, you can succeed at anything.
We talk a lot about learning methods here at Glenn Paul’s English Club. And we believe we have the best English learning method in the world. But even the best method is useless without emotion.
Simply put- if you are bored, tired, or sad you will not learn English well. This is how our brains work. Brains don't learn quickly when your emotions are mostly negative. Even if you use the very best learning methods and materials- you will get poor results if your emotions are weak or negative.

Our best students- the ones who learn the fastest and get the best results- are always energetic, enthusiastic, and positive.
When they are learning English, they are smiling. They are laughing. They are focused and they have energy.
If you want to improve quickly like them, you should imitate them.
How? Put yourself into a strong positive emotional state every time before studying English.

First, sit quietly, close your eyes, and remember happy positive memories from your life. Feel the way you felt at that time. Remember times you succeeded. Remember times you were excited. Remember times you felt love.
Next, move your body. Stand up. Jump around. Smile. Lift your arms into the air. Get your blood moving!

Finally, put on some happy, energetic music. Choose a favorite song that makes you feel happy and alive. Dance and move with the song. Consciously smile a huge smile!
Now you are ready to study English! Always do this before studying, so that you are always in a happy emotional state when you are learning English.
Do this and you will learn much faster. Your brain will remember much more. You will get much better results.
Master your emotions to master English! One way to increase your positive emotions is to join the fun, enthusiastic, happy learning community at our Forums. Meet our fantastic members-- they will help you enjoy your English learning.

Did you know that you actually learn English faster when you are having fun?
Happy students learn faster than worried, bored, or anxious students.

In fact, anxiety, worry, and boredom block language learning. When you feel bad, your memory is worse. When you feel bad, your brain is slower. That's the bad news.
The good news-- when you are happy, smiling, and laughing you learn English much faster. Some research shows that happy students learn 2-3 times faster than bored or nervous students. 2-3 times faster!
This is why you must enjoy your English learning- if you want to improve fast.

This is why our lessons are fun and funny. We want you to laugh while you learn-- because then you will learn much faster.
That's why all the lessons in Glenn Paul’s English Conversation Lessons are interesting, strange, funny, and crazy. When you are happy, you improve English faster.
Whenever you study English, always listen to things which are fun, funny, or interesting to you.

Language learning is like falling in love
Language learning is like falling in love. In fact you have to be in love to learn a language well. I mean in love with the language.
You have to have a love affair with the language. You do not have to marry the language. You can have an affair and then move on to another language after a period of time. But while you are learning the language you have to be in love with it. And you will learn faster if you are faithful to the language while you are studying it.

Just as when you are in love, you want to and need to spend as much time as possible with the object of your love. You want to hear its voice and read its thoughts. You want to learn more about it, the many words and phrases that it uses to express itself.
You think of the language wherever you are. You start to observe the object of your love closely. You notice all the little things it does, you become familiar with its peculiar behaviour patterns. You breathe it. You hear its voice. You feel it. You get to know it better and better, naturally.
Just as in a love affair, there are things about the object of your love that you do not like. You ignore these. You only think about the things that you love. You do not question the object of your love. You just accept it. You do not ask why. You do not ask why it behaves a certain way. You do not seek to understand the secrets to its structure. You just want to be with it, and even to imitate it, the highest form of appreciation.
Loving a language is a one-sided love affair. You love the language. It does not love you back. But the good thing is that it is not jealous of you, of your other previous love affairs.
It really does not care if you carry on another love affair at the same time. But, as with people, doing so can create problems…..The language does not criticize you. You can use it however you want, as long as you enjoy yourself.
You are not jealous of other people who love the language you love. In fact you like to meet people who love the language you love. It is a lot less bothersome to love a language than to love a person, Because the love of the language is its own reward. You do not care what the language thinks of you.

You are enjoying your affair with the language and do not expect anything in return. As long as you have that relationship, you will learn and improve in the language.
If you just use a language without loving it, you will not improve. If the goal is only to get a better job, or to pass a test, you will not improve. People are the same way. You cannot have a love affair with someone just to get a better job.

"Top 5 Mistakes English Learners Make"
What are the most common mistakes that English learners make? Which mistakes do most English learners need to correct, in order to learn English much faster?
Here are the top 5 English Learning Mistakes:

1. FOCUSING ON GRAMMAR

This is the biggest, most common, and worst mistake. Research shows that grammar study, in fact, actually hurts English speaking ability. Why? Because English grammar is simply too complex to memorize and use logically.... and real conversation is much too fast.
You don't have enough time to think, remember hundreds or thousands of grammar rules, choose the correct one, then use it.
Your logical left-brain cannot do it. You must learn grammar intuitively and unconsciously, like a child. You do this by hearing a lot of correct English grammar- and your brain gradually and automatically learns to use English grammar correctly.

2. FORCING SPEECH

Both English students and teachers try to force speech before the learner is ready. The result is that most students speak English very slowly- with no confidence and no fluency. Forcing speech is a huge mistake. Don't force speech. Focus on listening and be patient. Speak only when you are ready to speak- when it happens easily and naturally. Until then, never force it.

3. LEARNING ONLY FORMAL TEXTBOOK ENGLISH

Unfortunately, most English students learn only the formal English found in textbooks and schools. The problem is- native speakers don't use that kind of English in most situations.
When speaking to friends, family, or co-workers, native speakers use casual English that is full of idioms, phrasal verbs, and slang. To communicate with native speakers, you must not rely only on textbooks.. you must learn casual English.

4. TRYING TO BE PERFECT

Students and teachers often focus on mistakes. They worry about mistakes. They correct mistakes. They feel nervous about mistakes. They try to speak perfectly. No one, however, is perfect. Native speakers make mistakes all the time. You will too. Instead of focusing on the negative- focus on communication.
Your goal is not to speak "perfectly", your goal is to communicate ideas, information, and feelings in a clear and understandable way. Focus on communication, focus on the positive. You will automatically improve your mistakes in time

5. RELYING ON ENGLISH SCHOOLS

Most English learners rely totally on schools. They think the teacher and the school are responsible for their success. This is never true. You, the English learner, are always responsible. A good teacher can help, but ultimately you must be responsible for your own learning.

You must find lessons and material that are effective. You must listen and read every day. You must manage your emotions and remain motivated and energetic. You must be positive and optimistic. No teacher can make you learn. Only you can do it!
While these mistakes are very common, the good news is that you can correct them. When you stop making these mistakes, you change the way you learn English. You learn faster. Your speaking improves. You enjoy learning English.
Error correction.

Error correction is a controversial topic. A lot of people have strong emotions about it.
Most English teachers believe that error correction is necessary. In fact, they think it's vital. Many students, who have been trained by their schools and teachers, also believe that they need to have their speaking errors constantly corrected.
Our students, therefore, are a little confused when I tell them, "We will never correct your spoken errors".

Some people get upset when I say this. Other English teachers get upset. They feel Iam committing a sin- that I am committing English education heresy!
Some students even get upset. They beg me, "Please correct my speaking errors". I always say "no".

Of course, traditional English classes love error correction. When a student speaks, the teacher will directly or indirectly focus on their mistakes. For example, a student stands up in class. She says, "Yesterday I had good time. I go to store and go shopping".
At this moment, the student feels nervous because all of the class, and the teacher, are listening to her. But she also feels happy- she just spoke English. She just communicated information clearly in English.

But her happiness is soon destroyed by the teacher. If the teacher is nice, he will say, "OK. Yesterday you had A good time. You WENT to THE store and WENT shopping."
If the teacher isn't nice, he will say, "No. You need to say A good time... and you didn't use the past tense. You're talking about yesterday. What is the past tense of go"?
Either way, the student now feels foolish and stupid. She now thinks, "English is so difficult,... I'll never be good at English". Her motivation is destroyed. . Because error correction is TOTALLY ineffective

GLENN PAUL'S SPOKEN ENGLISH CLUB

GLENN PAUL’S SPOKEN ENGLISH CLUB is the pioneer of the true method of teaching Spoken English in India.

GLENN PAUL’S

ANGLO-INDIAN SPOKEN ENGLISH CLUB

is the pioneer of the true method of teaching Spoken English in India.
The method is so simple, so childlike, that it’ll surprise you.
It’s not only simple, but it’s revolutionary, against the norm and it’s radically anti-system.

Since over a couple of decades India, like the rest of the world has gone global economically socially and culturally. English being “The global spoken language”, has become a need and necessity for all. This has given rise to a countless number of so-called
“Spoken English Institutes”.

All, ALL of them claim to teach Spoken English, but none of them succeed in teaching a non English speaker to speak English easily, automatically and quickly, the way a native speaker would speak. Because they follow the old rules.

It’s time to tell India that if you wanna learn how to speak in English easily, automatically and quickly, you have to learn how to speak in the new way, the natural way.

After having done an intensive research for over ten years it suddenly struck me that the method followed all over India was completely opposite to the natural way in which a person should learn how to speak in a new language.

I tried effortless English, a New Method and the result was astounding!— And finally “I was enlightened ”,with this totally new method.

I, accordingly, founded Glenn Paul’s Anglo-Indian Spoken English Club
Here’s the news--
The old method has failed!
You must try my new method----
Do away with the old and sail onto the new.

Old method:
Learn Words and meaning, learn grammar rules, learn reading and writing, and then learn speaking.
That’s not the natural way! It’s like putting your horse behind the cart!

New method:
Please do not learn words and meaning.
Please do not learn grammar rule.
Please do not learn reading and writing before learning how to speak in English.
Surprised?
In India most people learnt English speaking in the Old method.

So their speaking is different and they feel embarrassed, nervous and shy when they try to speak.
But don’t worry Glenn Paul’s Spoken English Club will teach you how to speak in English easily, automatically and naturally.

New

Basic Spoken English Rules:

Rule No. 1:

Please do not learn individual words.
This may come as a surprise to most of you.
Now, you may think “No words? No vocabulary?
But how’s that possible?”
Well, the answer is- ‘Yes’. You did not learn individual words when you learnt speaking your Native language Hindi!
Your parents didn’t give you a long list of words to learn!
As a child you learnt how to express your ideas in groups of words. We always speak in groups of words. Idea by idea, Not word by word by word.
Even if you learn all the words of the Dictionary, you can never speak unless you learn Phrases.
If English had been a foreign to you, then I guess it would take you at least 6 months to speak. But for anybody living in INDIA English is not a foreign language. While speaking Hindi you already know and also use all the English words that are necessary to speak in English.
For Example- Table,
chair
house
car
bird
sky
or almost anything.
However, to be able to use all these words in English you need to learn those Phrases that I am talking about. And the sets of Phrases for a beginner are-

(1) This is a
That is a
These are
Those are
For speaking you can repeat-
This is a
That’s a
These are
Those are.

(2) I have a
you have a
he has a
she has a
it has a
we have a
they have a.

(3) I am
you are
he is
she is
it is
we are
they are.

(4) This is my
this is your
this is his
this is her
this is its
this is our
this is their.

Once you have repeated these phrases over and over again, and you can say them easily automatically and quickly.

you can add simple words to make sentences.

For example: To the following phrases you can add- car & driving.
TI have a ________
this is my________
I am __________.

I have a car
this is my car
and I am driving.

Rule No. 2:

Please don’t learn Grammar rules.
Here is another surprise for you. You have heard that Grammar is the base for Spoken English.
Well, for your information, Grammar is not the base of Spoken English.
You did not learn Grammar rules before you learnt to speak in your native language-Hindi!
Or if you ask an American what’s the past Perfect Tense, he probably won’t know it.
You just learn how to speak in correct Grammar by listening to correct Grammar being spoken.
However, to make it easy for you, I have created a new method for you to correct your grammar mistakes while speaking.
I call it--

mini point-of-view Grammar stories.

Which means changing the point-of- view of a mini story. We change the person or tense of the mini story.
For example –
‘ I have a car, this is my car and I am driving.’
You can change the persons by saying:

1) You have a car and you are driving.
or

2) He has a car and he is driving
or

3) She has a car and she is driving.
or

4) We have a car and we are driving.

You could also change the tense of the mini story by saying:
I had a car that was my car and I was driving.
Or
You had a car and you were driving.
If you notice Grammar changes take place and you can automatically learn where to say-was, were, have, is, had and so on.

You can practice thousands if point-of-view mini stories and in this way you can learn how to speak in perfect Grammar.

Rule No.3:

Learn through your ears not through your eyes.
Spoken English is a sound system for which output is your mouth and input is your ears.
What you see through your eyes cannot be converted into sound. You can only produce sounds which you hear.
So don’t read and write in order to learn speaking. It will be unnatural and if you try to speak with someone you will never be able to.
Listen to the sounds:

This is a
that’s a
these are
those are.

I am
you are
he is
she is
it is
we are
they are.

I have
you have
he has
she has
it has
we have
they have.

When you listen to these sounds through your ears over and over again, and repeat them over and over again you will automatically speak in correct Grammar.

Rule No 4:

Learn deeply and speak easily.
Last but not the least is this rule. By just having knowledge of all the English won’t help you speak easily, automatically and naturally. You have to feed English sounds into your Muscle Memory.
Let me explain Muscle Memory with an example- “Driving” When you drive the muscles of your hands and legs work automatically.
This is because there’s something called Muscle Memory which is fed in your mind.

This muscle memory automatically controls your body muscles so that you automatically blow the horn, jam the brakes and you don’t have an accident!
You could be thinking about something else and yet drive easily and automatically.
Now, here’s the eye opening news for you-
Your tongue, jaw vocal cords are muscle groups and are used for producing Sounds.
They, like other muscles of your body need to be trained so that you can speak easily automatically and quickly.
And the way to train muscles is to repeat, repeat and repeat.

Have you learnt speaking in the old method?
If you feel embarrassed, nervous or shy when you try to speak or understand English,
it’s NOT Your Fault!
Most classes and teachers are using old methods, old lessons, and old textbooks that caused your problem.
With these refreshing and new rules you will finally see breakthrough in speaking excellent English!
You will feel more relaxed, happy, and confident when you speak English.
Wouldn’t that be exciting?

Glenn Paul’s Spoken English Club uses methods that work!
The system is totally new and different.
The old study methods you used in the past are useless compared to this system.

It really does not care if you carry on another love affair at the same time. But, as with people, doing so can create problems…..The language does not criticize you. You can use it however you want, as long as you enjoy yourself.
